IRRIGATION TECHNICIAN

Is a seasonal ( April – November ) specialized position reporting to our Senior Project Manager / Owner.

It requires exceptional problem solving and critical thinking skills and meticulous care and concern for the details of landscape construction jobs. The position is valued for their ability to analyze a situation and establish a plan of action to remedy issues. Responsibilities include overseeing irrigation winterizations and startups, inventory management, technical repairs and troubleshooting, customer interactions and site warrantee repairs. This position works independently and as part of a team; and may be required to supervise smaller crews. As a management position, candidate will be expected to provide outstanding customer service, representing Canadian Rockies Landscape in a professional manner. Training and skill development is an ongoing process, tailored to individual employee assets, abilities, and interests.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Previous irrigation knowledge required
  2. Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
  3. Exceptional verbal communications skills
  4. Exceptional attention to detail and willingness to work in a Team environment
  5. Valid driver’s license
  6. Positive work ethic and attitude
  7. Mentorship / Leadership skills
  8. Innovative critical thinker / Problem solving skills
  9. Understanding of Canadian Landscape Construction Standards
  10. Building a culture of teamwork
  11. Willingness to embrace technologies and advancements in operations

ASSETS

  • Experience in supervising projects.
  • Skid Steer, loader and excavator operating.
  • Air brakes certificate
  • IIABC -certificate irrigation technician level 1. (on-job certification available)
  • AB Wall Construction Contractor Certificate Level 1-3 (on-job certification available)
