LANDSCAPE CONSTRUCTION SITE SUPERVISOR

Is a full time year-round (with seasonal option) managerial position reporting to our Senior Project Manager.

This position must be proficient in all aspects of hard and soft landscape construction techniques and have previous experience in supervising projects from start to finish. This position is expected to not only supervise but mentor staff they directly supervise. Site Supervisors are valued for their leadership, organizational and communication skills as well as their problem solving, critical-thinking and innovation. The Site Supervisor must be competent in the safe operation of all landscape equipment, ensuring the safety and proper management of the job site. Additionally, this management position is expected to provide outstanding customer service, representing Canadian Rockies Landscape in a professional manner. Training and skill development is an ongoing process, tailored to individual employee assets, abilities, and interests.

Wage: TBD (optional benefits and profit-sharing program available)

Hours worked per week can vary between 40-50 hours, O/T Available.

Responsibility for managing crews ranging in size between 2-8 employees

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Experience in supervising projects.
  2. Previous supervisory or lead-hand landscape construction experience required
  3. Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
  4. Exceptional verbal communications skills
  5. Exceptional attention to detail and willingness to work in a Team environment
  6. Valid driver’s license
  7. skid steer, loader and excavator operating.
  8. positive work ethic and attitude
  9. Mentorship / Leadership skills
  10. Innovative critical thinker / Problem solving skills
  11. Understanding of Canadian Landscape Construction Standards
  12. Building a culture of teamwork
  13. Air brakes certificate & Heavy trailer endorsement (on-job certification available).
  14. First Aid certificate (on-job certification available)
  15. ICPI certified concrete paver installer (on-job certification available)
  16. IIABC -certificate irrigation technician level 1. (on-job certification available)
  17. AB Wall Construction Contractor Certificate Level 1-3 (on-job certification available)
  18. Willingness to embrace technologies and advancements in operations
