
Mechanic Position
Is a full /or part time (flexible schedule) year-round position reporting to our Senior Project Manager and Owner.
This position is responsible for diagnoses, repairs, and maintenance of heavy machinery, light and small engine machinery used by our landscape construction team. This responsibility includes tasks like diagnosing problems, maintenance, performing repairs, and ensuring equipment safety. This position works independently; and is required to coordinate equipment maintenance schedules with senior project manager. A Heavy-Duty ticket is not required for this position. Training and skill development is an ongoing process, tailored to individual employee assets, abilities, and interests.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Diagnosis and repair of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems. Repair or replace defective parts, components, and systems. Overhaul and test major components like engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems.
- Perform routine maintenance, including cleaning, lubricating, and servicing equipment.
- Inspect equipment for potential issues and ensure it’s in safe working conditions.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed.
- Responsibility for maintaining and organizing shops, including ordering and sourcing parts.
Additional Skills:
- Work with a variety of tools and equipment, including hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Consult equipment manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Organize and coordinate filters, lubricants, etc..
- May be required to travel to job sites for repairs.
Equipment Examples:
- Excavators, skidsteers, ditch witch, Heavy-duty trucks, haul trailers, and other commercial vehicles, snow removal equipment.
- Wage: $25-$45 (optional benefits) competitive based on experience
- Hours worked per week can vary between 40-50 hours (overtime available/flexible – based on needs).

- Heavy Duty Equipment Experience (ticket not required).

- Dump truck license.
